Ryan + Kelsey

The story started at Cal Poly where they first met. They began to see more and more of each other, and as love would have it, the more they saw, the more they fell for each other. Before long, Kelsey was saying "Yes!" to a very romantic proposal atop a mountain!

Ryan and Kelsey chose to marry in Merced, the hometown area to both of their families. With the date being the first week of January, I was, quite honestly, entirely nervous about the weather. I don't know if Ryan secretly knew, but it was, amazingly, gorgeous blue skies and sunshine the entire day. Beginning at the lovely Bear Creek Inn, the day continued on as beautiful, full of laughter, love, and precious moments shared throughout.

It is without words that I can describe how sweet this couple is...I just adore their love. Ryan and Kelsey, thank you for letting me be a part of this day. I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with such an amazing couple and blessed to witness the incredible love you have for each other.

Last year, I offered my very first Valentine's Special and just loooved the feedback I received! To honor the month of love and all you lovelies out there, I'm bringin' back the Valentine's special, with a few minor changes...

Senior Portraits: Taylor Faust

As I think back to my shoot with Taylor and her mom, my heart is warmed. Taylor is an individual, that if I could, I would put in a box to preserve her beautiful heart from any negative thing the world may bring. I know this thought is immeasurably shared by her mother, who Taylor says, gets teary eyed whenever she talks about college and studying abroad in Germany someday. I found it ever so endearing how much this mom loved her daughter, unmistakably on display to me as she stood to the side, arms filled with outfit changes, saying to Taylor, "Today is all about you. I am here to help you with whatever you need."

Taylor is planning to attend California Lutheran University in the fall where she will be joining their swim team!!! I am SO excited about this next chapter in your life and hope that it is full of adventure! Thank you for letting me document your senior year, it was such a joy getting to meet you and your mom and spend the afternoon with you!

Senior Portraits: Michelle Amaral

I had the privilege of getting to know Michelle a few years back as a student in my art class. Michelle is incredibly creative, smart, and is genuinely beautiful inside and out. Along with her many gifts, Michelle is an AMAZING singer. I remember hearing her for the first time and getting goosebumps all over. I had NO idea that this quiet student of mine had such a powerful voice hiding inside of her!

Needless to say, I was honored when I received an email from her asking if I would take her senior portraits. Um...YES!!! Thank you Michelle for allowing me to document your senior year in my lens. I know you are going to do so well at anything you do and I am excited for all that God has in store for your future!

Senior Portraits: Hitchcock Sisters

Awhile back, I received an email from Brittany about senior portraits. This particular email caught my attention when she mentioned that she had a twin sister! I LOVE sister pictures so I was extra excited about the idea of incorporating that into their senior session!

Although twins, these sisters could not be more different. Brittany is, according to her sister, the more responsible and studious one, while Courtney is, well, what I would describe as your social butterfly. As opposite as these two might be, they still seemed to possess an innate sense of what the other was thinking. I loved my afternoon with these sisters and loved getting to document their senior year TOGETHER!

Halle turns 5

Meet Halle. She is just the CUTEST. She has this super bubbly personality and is definitely not camera shy! I think I laughed through our whole shoot as Halle would pose herself for my camera and dance around like a little model. I think she may have taken some notes from her mommy's former modeling days!

Halle's outfit topped the charts too! She arrived head-to-toe cute in a purple tutu, a customized birthday t-shirt in honor of her turning 5, AND polished nails that coordinated with the lollipop on her shirt that was PERFECT because she was having a Candyland-themed birthday party!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Cutest Crocs I ever did see! Halle's mom found these ADORABLE things online at Zulily...my sister is hooked now!

Senior Portraits: Sydnii Ray

A few months back, I conducted my first senior portrait giveaway contest and was SO excited from the feedback I received and even MORE excited to announce Miss Sydnii Ray as the winner! When I received Sydnii's entry, I was immediately impressed with this girl's ambition. As I continued reading, I was taken back by her heart for others, her family, and God.

She has such a great perspective of life and sees the great need in our world and is on a mission to do something about it! In the fall, Sydnii will be attending the University of San Diego where she plans to study Biochemistry and minor in Spanish. Her goal is to become a Maxillofacial surgeon so she can help others that suffer with disfigurements. Seriously, is this not amazing or what!?!

It seemed only fitting to photograph this amazing senior in one of my most favorite places to visit, Carmel. Sydnii, thank you for your AMAZING entry and for giving me the opportunity to document such an exciting time in your life! I believe you are going to do some incredible things in your life...so watch out world!!!

Beautiful Families: Gomes + Rossow

Awhile back, I met the Gomes & Rossow families in Merced for a very fun and collaborative family photo shoot. I was eager for this session because, just three months prior, I did Baby E's newborn session so I was SO excited to see him and his cuteness again!

Cassie & Julie grew up just down the road from my family, so I also LOVED having the opportunity to visit with them. They are both married now with kids so it is especially fun getting to see how happy they are in their lives today.

I adore the Vander Woulde family. They are just the NICEST family. I am convinced that their ovens run 24 hours a day because it seems that every time I visit, there is a delicious, just-baked treat they are offering! Yum yum!

Macie turns 4

A few weeks back, I made my way up to Sonora for a very fun photo shoot with my cousin to capture her little mini-me in action. Macie turned four this year and with each year, her personality reveals itself more and more! She is FULL of energy and LOTS of ideas which included posing herself during the shoot followed by asking me, "Hey We - sa (Lisa), hey We - sa (Lisa), this is cute, huh?" SO hilarious!

I absolutely LOVED shooting in Sonora and am eager for another chance to return. The town is FULL of character and is just a lovely setting for photographs and just a fun place to hang out for an afternoon. If you are from the Merced area, I highly recommend taking the drive to visit!

Welcome Baby Gabriel

Arriving fashionably late on March 7th, this sweet baby boy was welcomed by very proud parents, David & Julie. I have been friends with both David and Julie for several years. Last year, I was honored when David & Julie asked me to document their engagement, so this shoot was extra sweet for me to capture their love now for their precious baby boy.

And may I just say, baby Gabriel is just the CUTEST thing! Thank you both for being so gracious to me and for giving me the opportunity to document baby Gabriel's arrival.

Senior Portraits: Chelsea

A few weeks back, I met Chelsea and her mom in downtown Merced for her senior portrait session. I have to admit, I arrived a bit weary and discouraged to this shoot due to my previous week of numerous weather and technical setbacks. My initial mood, however, was quickly overturned. Chelsea and her mom were so sweet and pleasant to be around. And God granted sunshine for the entire afternoon!

Although she is a bit reserved, Chelsea was such a sport during the shoot! Chelsea is SO beautiful inside and out, and I am excited to see what great things God has in store for her future! Thank you for allowing me to document this time in your life! .

Spring is here and that means graduations are just around the corner! With the senior portrait season in full bloom, I wanted to start this season by sharing a senior shoot I had back in the fall with my roommate's beautiful and sweet sister, Gwen.

I met Gwen for our shoot in Coloma where we spent the afternoon roaming the historic town finding all sorts of amazing areas and scenery for pictures! Gwen had just come back from a trip to Europe so I enjoyed our afternoon hearing all about the sights she experienced during her travels! I loved Gwen's adventurous spirit and am excited to see what life holds for her after she graduates!

Blossoms of Spring

I got a burst of energy this morning watching the news forecast beautiful weather this week and am SO excited to see signs of spring all around! Kayla, my dear Bible study friend and a super-star veterinarian, asked me for some almond blossom pictures that she could frame for her new apartment. Inspired, I journeyed with my camera here and there to the orchards around and am SO glad I did! Not only was I reminded of how much I love this season, but also how amazing and beautiful the art of our God is!

I LOVE music. I might be guilty of blowing a few speakers in my car - yikes! I can't help it, music is meant to be loud. Anyways, I heard this song the other day while searching for blossoms....click HERE to listen!

Vlot Girls

A few weeks ago, I had the joy of photographing the Vlot girls for the second time. It had been a few years since I last saw Makenna and Rylee and I can't believe how much they have grown! And, in just a few more weeks, Case and Darcy will be welcoming two more girls to their already adorable family.

It was so fun getting to capture Darcy with her daughters during this exciting time of anticipation of their twin's arrival! I know I may be biased because I am one of four girls myself, but I think having sisters is all the fun! So excited for your family and all the years of Barbies to come!!!

Ashton Turns 1

I was contacted by Michelle Fournier to document her little guy, Ashton, turning one. I LOVE photographing this age because there is so much character and personality that has been developed. I was especially excited when Michelle emailed me just two days before our shoot to inform me that Ashton had taken his first steps!

Mark + Debbie

It all began with a soccer match. Debbie went with a friend to George & Dragon to catch the game and asked if the seats next to him were available. He said he was expecting friends, but go ahead. Before long, the two were chatting and before she left, Mark asked for her number. Ever since that meet, the two have been inseparable.

Their relationship has that same sort of magnetism that brought them together. They love in a way that is as if they both realize just how special their love truly is and how grateful they are to have one another. Today only highlights their love for each other as Debbie travels with Mark to Alabama as he is about to begin OTS for the United States Air Force.

Wanted to wish the best to both of you as you embark on this new adventure in life!

Maegen de Jong: Bride & Bridesmaids Shoot

I received a phone call from Maegen awhile back about possibly taking some photographs for her. She had married her love, Rimmert de Jong, in San Diego back in 2009 but still wanted some additional photos of her and her bridesmaids. Who wouldn't want an excuse to wear their wedding dress again, right!?! Our schedules paired perfectly as we both were going to be in San Diego in December and I couldn't have been more excited!

The always temperate San Diego greeted us with wind and rain the day of our shoot, but that didn't stop us! I met Maegen and her fabulous group of bridesmaids at beautiful Balboa Park where we braved the chilly weather conditions! Not only did this group prove to be a bunch of troopers in the weather, but they were a riot to be around!

Thank you ladies for such a fun afternoon...I can only imagine just HOW much fun the wedding was!!!

35th Wedding Anniversary: Merle and Edna Bordwell

They met at work. She was a dispatcher and he was a police officer. She thought he was SO handsome. He, on the other hand, was a bit reluctant to pursue anything because she was younger. Eventually, the two went on a date, a walk along the Laguna Beach. She said she knew he was nervous on the date and decided to take initiative and asked if he would like to hold her hand...

Thirty-five years later, they still have a love for one another that in undeniable. I was SO honored to document their 35th Wedding Anniversary in my lens. Thank you for your great commitment to one another and for being such an exemplary marriage of God's great love.

The Betschart Twins: Reese and Rachel

Since its Valentine's Day and all, I thought I would bring you a double-dose of sweetness with images from my shoot with the Betschart twins!

I am not going to lie, when I first got an email from Stacy to photograph their three-month-old twins, I was a little nervous!!! My nerves were completely alleviated, however, when Stacy arrived and I saw her trunk full of outfits and tutus, a bag of bows, and her mom in tow! Stacy is a super mom. She is a teacher, wife, and mom to their son Rex and their twins! I was so impressed with how well Stacy balances her career and family!

Their twins, although born just minutes apart, couldn't be more different! Reese is petite, wide-eyed, and has a very gentle nature. Rachel, she is a chunky monkey, has ADORABLE dark wavy hair, and a dominating strength. It was SO much fun to capture these two in my lens and a joy to spend the afternoon with their amazing mom and their oh-so-sweet and lovely grandma.

The Gomes Family: Baby E

I first met Eddie and Cassie while attending Chowchilla High. I hadn't seen either Eddie or Cassie since high school so when I received an email from Cassie about taking pictures of their newborn BABY (!!!), I was excited to say the least!

With the chilly winter weather, we decided to meet and do the shoot at their home. I brought Blue, my seemingly flexible Jetta, filled to the brim with props and lighting like a Mary Poppins bag while Eddie and Cassie created a fantastic backdrop from their own barn door! Together, it was brilliant!

I spent almost half the day at their home and I seriously cannot say enough good things about these two! Cassie is a genuinely beautiful mom to Baby E. I so admired her candidness about being a mom and love the fact that she is so down-to-earth and real about life. It was especially fun to see Eddie as a dad, talking about how he wants his little guy to be raised and have the same upbringing as he did. Oh, love.

Hoekstra Family

Although I don't see the Hoekstra family as much as I'd like, I feel a closeness to them because I am ALWAYS hearing stories from my roommate, Miss Cann. Noah and Carissa were former kindergarten students in her classroom that brought lots of joy and laughter and still hold a special place in her heart! Carissa has this super sassy personality and can definitely hold her own to her three older brothers! Miss Cann's Carissa stories are definitely some of my favs!

I knew it would only be appropriate if I brought Miss Cann along to our shoot as extra ammo, and boy was I right! I had such a blast with the Hoekstra family and would like to credit Miss Cann for Carissa's hip popped in the image below - love it!

Sanches Family

A few months back, I received an email from Leah Sanches about family portraits. Leah mentioned that she had seen some of my work, so I was especially honored when she expressed her desire to work with me! The winter weather showed a chance of rain on our scheduled session, but thankfully, the rain held out and the weather ended up being perfect!

I met the Sanches family in Merced for our shoot, and the minute I saw Kai Bella and her red fur bow, I knew that I was going to have fun with this family! She was just six months old when we met and already has the sweetest nature about her, not to mention great style too! Leah and Kelly are SO sweet and gentle with Kai Bella, and are just one of the NICEST couples that I have worked with.

Drum Family

This is my cousin Becky and her dear family, Eddie and Macie. They make the most beautiful family together, both inside and out. Eddie and Becky are such great parents to their Macie. They have this incredible love for her that is evident as they share Macie stories, laughing about the latest things she did or said. And for those of you who know Macie and her spitfire personality, there are endless stories to be told!

I was SO excited when Becky asked me to take pictures for their Christmas card because she is incredibly creative and always brings fun props with her to our shoots together. This time, she brought along a fantastic white chair from her house that was the perfect addition to some family portraits and made for a great Christmas card too!

When I heard the word rustic, I knew exactly the place to go. I met Jay and Stephanie and their two children, Trevor and Madeline, at an old ranch in Red Top. The ranch has several barns that have been kept in their original form from the early 20th century, which proved to be the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

Initially, their Trevor seemed a bit camera shy. All the animals and tractors at the ranch acted as the perfect tool to get him to smile and warm up to the camera! One of my favorite images from the shoot is one of the first I snapped of him when he was looking for a kitty by a barn.

I just adore your sweet story and feel SO privileged to have had the opportunity to document your family in my lens.

Cross Family

I have known the Cross family for some time. I got to know James, Emily and Laura while helping with the youth group at Cornerstone Community Church, so when Libby mentioned that she wanted me to photograph their family, I was honored and thrilled to get a chance to catch up on life's happenings with their family. I met them in Chowchilla after Frank and Libby expressed a desire to have family photos taken at their home. I am SO glad they did! They have a beautiful home, full of wonderful stories and history, not to mention a great backdrop for photos!

The Bosma Family

Awhile back, I had the opportunity to photograph the Bosma Family. Tom, Cecily, and Mason recently moved from Santa Barbara to the Merced area for work. As you would have it, Cecily was referred to my hairstylist, the fabulous Becky Drum, who in turn, referred Cecily to me! And I am SO glad she did! Tom and Cecily are just the nicest couple and such a great team when it comes to parenting their ADORABLE little Mason! With his baby blue eyes and sweet smile, Mason just makes you want to smile from ear to ear.

As you most assuredly know, Christmas is just around the corner! I love this time of year! Everyone is out and about shopping for their loved ones, Christmas lights are starting to line the streets on homes, the Eggnog Latte is at Starbucks...and oh yes, Christmas cards are beginning to come in the mail! As the countdown till Christmas nears, I find myself getting more and more excited with each day to go and see whose card is in my mailbox!

Hess Kids

I LOVE photographing the Hess Kids! Not only are they ADORABLE, they also each have a whole lot of personality! I got a last-minute call from Rachel to take these photos of her kiddos with her hubby, Daniel, before he returned to Iraq. We decided to take the photos at their beautiful home in Merced which I loved because, not only was every one super comfortable in front of the camera, but also because the images simply captured the kids at home with their dad.

The Tale of the Great Pumpkin

Tis' the season for pumpkin patches and all things fall! I just love the colors of this season, the weather that brings out the sweaters, and the arrival of the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks! One of my most favorite item this fall, though, was a particular pumpkin patch made for a particular special someone, Colton.

Is this not the cutest thing ever?!?! Colton's grandparents grew this pumpkin patch and made this adorable sign for their new grandson. When Jami contacted me to take pictures of sweet baby Colton by his pumpkin, I had no idea what to expect. And because I myself do not have a green thumb, I am always impressed with those who have a knack for it. And let me tell you, this garden was nothing short of impressive! So fun capturing Colton by his VERY great pumpkin!

Shiloh and Austin: Engagement

A few months back, I was contacted by Shiloh about photographing her upcoming wedding in May. I was SO honored and encouraged by her enthusiasm in my work and anxious to hear all about her wedding plans! I met Shiloh and her fiance Austin over coffee one evening and was immediately excited about working with them! They are SO incredibly adorable and sweet together. As they chatted about how they met and their love for one another, often completing each others thoughts and sentences, I found myself with this permanent smile on my face.

During our meeting, I learned that one of their favorite places to spend time as a couple was Yosemite. So it seemed only fitting to have their engagement shoot in the park surrounded by its spectacular granite cliffs and endless acres of beauty. This was such a fun shoot AND such a privilege to capture their love through my lens.

Baby Colton

Baby Colton must have known how excited his parents were to meet him because he decided to surprise them by arriving two weeks early! This is the first baby for proud parents, Jami and Adam, which made it especially endearing to see as they held and cared for him so gently. One of my favorite pictures is the one below of Adam holding his little guy - I adore the sense of scale and am reminded of the delicacy of a newborn.

Wiebren and Luciana Expecting

It's time!!! Well...almost, not quite yet. With her due date just around the corner, I was so excited and honored to take a few pregnancy pictures of Wiebren and Luciana. When talking to them, you would think they are veterans to the world of parenting, but in actuality, they are first-time parents that have been diligently reading, researching, taking classes, and preparing for the arrival of their baby. I adore that and know that this baby, although not here yet, is SO incredibly loved and special to this couple!

Madeline turns 1

This last Saturday, I attended a birthday party. Mind you, this was no ordinary birthday party. But then again, Rachel Hess is no ordinary woman. Hmmm...how do I explain? When you think of the saying 'Go big or go home', I believe the phrase derived from the acts of Rachel Hess for she misses NO details and always goes the extra mile to make sure there is no stone unturned. And this birthday was EXTRA special for the Hess family because Daniel, Rachel's husband, is home from Iraq which amped up the BIG factor at least two notches. As you would have it, there was decorative chair covers, FLOWER-shaped cupcakes, MINI-cupcakes, three GIANT cupcake birthday cakes, heaps (literally) of food and even party favors for the guests....all in honor of their darling Ms. Madeline Hess who was celebrating her 1st birthday!

Red Rock Dairy

Most things in life are sweetest when you have had to wait for it. Then, when it finally comes, you appreciate it so much more. For my Uncle Rocky and Aunt Sharlene and their family, this sweet day came on December 29, 2009. After many years of permits and planning, they opened the doors to Red Rock Dairy, cleverly named after their three boys, Rocky, Eddie, and David.

It was especially neat to witness the start of Red Rock because of the family support that surrounded this project. It was very evident during this time how extremely close this family is, and also how proud and excited each were to be a part of the project.

I stopped by awhile back to take photos of their rotating milking deck, which Rocky says the cows love to ride, and was able to chat with him a bit about the dairy. Even though I myself grew up on a dairy, I still love to know what specifically about the dairy makes each person tick. When I asked Lil' Rocky, he replied plainly, " I just like cows." And it's true. For those who know Rocky and have seen him at work, there is no denying his passion for the dairy.

Tristan turns 1!

Recently, I had the fun "ness" of taking Tristan's 1 year photos. I was SO excited because I was going to use my backdrop for the first time AND I was bringing some props that I had been eager to use. AND, if you haven't already noticed, Tristan is ADORABLE. He has got the biggest blue eyes and just the cutest cheeks!

I was able to snap a few and then Tristan started getting a bit crabby. Who wouldn't get crabby in a high chair with no food, right? So his parents decided a cookie might keep him happy and then his genius dad, Logan, dumped the whole bag on the tray - PERFECT! Tristan went to town on the cookie pile and I just loved every second of it behind my lens! Later in shoot, Brianna told me that Tristan's 1st birthday was themed 'Cookie Monster' - what a perfect tie in!

Love these. He looks like a cookie monster.

Kohrs Kids

I love any excuse to hang out with 'Woman', that is my dear friend Laura, especially when it is taking pictures for her! Laura and I became friends years ago in high school. I remember when I first met Laura; her family had just moved from Michigan and she was this teeny lil' freshmen. Judging her sheerly on her size and her initial timidness, I thought to myself 'this girl is NEVER going to survive high school'. Boy oh boy, was I EVER wrong about her! Laura is definitely NOT timid and is deceivingly tough behind her slim frame. We have grown as friends throughout the years of knowing each other, and it is especially fun to see her now as a wife and mom of three! Love you woman!

Family Portraits: Troost Family

School is just around the corner and graduates are getting ready to head to college! Families, including my own, are also preparing for the change that comes with a family member away from home. Johnny, the oldest of Jeff and Dana's boys, will be heading to Dordt this fall. He will be the first of their four boys to be leaving for college.

Before Johnny ventured to the midwest, I met up with this fabulous family and took some family portraits. We headed to the train tracks in town which I LOVE, especially for this particular shoot considering the journey that college life will bring to Johnny and his family.

I love these. Such lovebirds these two are!

Baby Case

On June 3, my nephew, baby Case Bert de Jong entered the world weighing 9 lbs 5 ozs and measuring 21 inches. There was much excitement when baby Case was born because, you see, this was not only the first boy for Bert and Mindy, but also the first nephew for us tantes, and the first grandson for my parents. I know he is my nephew so I am bound to brag, but he IS just the custest lil' thing. I love being able to see my sister be such a great mommy - she is such a supermom with her four little ones! Luckily, this time around, Mindy has three lil' mini-moms to help her with baby Case...that would be his 'big' sisters, Jaelyn, Haylie, and Carys : )

Mariah: Senior Portraits

This gorgeous gal is my secondary sister-in-law...well, her brother is married to my sister so I would like to think we are family now : ) Mariah grew up with five older brothers so she is instinctively witty, sarcastic, and quite competitive. I experienced this first-hand when she challenged me on the dance floor at our siblings wedding - enough said.

Mariah has SIGNIFICANT bragging rights to her name, although she is super modest and almost shy if you ask her. But, if you ask anyone who knows Mariah, especially her family, they are sure to brag about her and her mad swimming abilities! She tapped two All-American times this year in the 50 and 100 free and is ranked 50th in the NATION for her 50 free time of 23.74 seconds - Amazing! As you can imagine, she was sought after by many collegiate teams and ended up choosing the UCSB Gauchos as her new mascot come fall. Gorgeous Santa Barbara - good choice!

Congratulations on all your accomplishments this year and ALL that is to come! Can't wait to watch you swim in London 2012?!?! : )

Macie: Sweet Story

I am a fairly nostalgic individual, and in being so, love a great antique, especially when there is a great story behind a piece! This last week, I spent some time at my grandparents and I so enjoyed hearing all the incredible stories behind the different pieces in their home - it's so neat to think of all the history that gets passed down throughout the generations!

For this particular shoot, Becky brought an antique police toy car she found in an antique shop down in San Diego that dates back to the 40's. The piece is SO adorable and especially appropriate because her husband is a Merced Police Officer. When Becky asked me to take some pictures of Macie for a Father's Day gift, I was extra excited to get to incorporate the piece she found and also LOVED the story behind the photos for their family.

Kristin: Pepperdine Graduation

On May 22, a couple of friends traveled to beautiful Malibu to attend a friend's graduation. It was a VERY exciting occasion and such an incredible accomplishment in my friend's life to be able to celebrate with her! For the last three years, my dear friend, Kristen has been working tirelessly, studying law, at Pepperdine Law School. And, not only did she graduate in top 15% of her class, but she landed a job with the U.S. Department of Justice. That's right, I'll say it, she's a Bad Ass!

Seems like a lifetime ago now when we were sitting in Freshmen Comp at Point Loma, stressing about the 'Bowles'! It was eight years ago that I met Kristin and since I have known her, Kristin has relentlessly pursued her passion for law. I am SO proud of you, so excited for your journey that lies ahead, and am so incredibly blessed to be able to call you my friend.

Katie and Nicole: A Pair of Cann Cousins

This shoot was just plain fun - fun idea, fun location, fun occasion, and fun girls! Katie, my fabulous roommate, was having her cousin down for a visit. She wanted to make it EXTRA fun and special for Nicole so she asked if I could take some cousin pictures while she was down. I thought it was super fun idea and since the fair was in town, we decided to go there for our picture date!

Nicole is the youngest of the Cann cousins and Katie ranks as the "most wise". As the story goes, Nicole was counting down the days to visit because she was finally going to get to spend the day helping Katie in her classroom! Nicole is a total hoot and has this 'tude' that rocks - I think she may be taking after her cousin Katie?!?!

Thank you girls for the fun photo shoot! Can't wait till you visit again Nicole!

Karly: Senior Portraits

I grew up just a road down from Karly's house, so it was such a privilege to take senior portraits of my once "neighbor" and also to get a chance to catch up on her life and plans for the future. Karly is a country girl true and true. She is a tiny little thing and drives this monster yellow Ford...and in style might I add with some AWESOME black cowboy boots!

The afternoon ended up being extremely windy which was quite challenging, but Karly was such a trooper! I don't think she is afraid of anything! She has this sort of super-strength, no BS attitude about her that totally rocks! We ended up trekking through rivers and weeds and she just went with it, laughed, and looked beautiful through it all!

Karly, good luck as you head to Fresno State in the fall! Thank you SO much for spending a fun (windy) afternoon with me - I had so much fun with you and your sister : )
